Open to the public
The Trinity County Fair Association is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Meetings are open to the public, and anyone who attends may speak.
Regular meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month unless otherwise posted. Special meetings are announced separately and are listed with the regular ones below.
Agenda items include public discussion of the future of the Fair and its finances, approval of financial reports for June and July 2026, a recommendation on 2027 Fair dates subject to change, electing a new Vice President, and advertising the two vacant board seats. The board may adjourn to closed session for a personnel matter under Government Code section 54957.
This is the regular third Thursday meeting. Letters of interest for the two open Fair Board seats are accepted before or at this meeting.

You do not need to be a member, and you do not need an invitation. Show up, sign in, and speak.
Items not listed on the agenda will not be discussed or considered by the board at that meeting. Items listed may be taken in any order at the discretion of the chair.
The board may adjourn to closed session during a meeting, for example to discuss a personnel matter under Government Code section 54957, or to give direction to its negotiators. The board reconvenes to the open meeting afterward and reports out any action taken.

Four board positions are four-year terms held by directors elected from the Fair Association membership. Five board positions are appointed by the Trinity County Board of Supervisors, one from each county district, and run concurrent with the term of that supervisor.

The Trinity County Fair Association is accepting applications to fill the remainder of two four-year Fair Board terms. One term ends January 2027 and the other ends January 2028.
Applicants must be Association members. Memberships can be purchased at the Fair office, or at the meeting on request. Submit a letter of interest before the regular meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026, or bring it with you.
