Hayfork, Trinity County, California
Campground and RV stays
Stay at the fairgrounds. We have full hookup, electric, and dry sites for RVs, trailers, and tents, by the day, the week, or the month.
The campground sits on the fairgrounds at 6000 Highway 3 in the Hayfork Valley, in western Trinity County.
Sending a request does not reserve a site. The Fair Office will contact you to confirm availability and arrange payment.

Good to know before you book
A few things that catch people out. The complete rules are on a separate page, and you sign them when you register.
No refunds
Camping fees are not refunded. Please be sure of your dates before you pay.
Sites are assigned
You cannot move to a different space once you have been assigned one. If something is wrong with your site, talk to the campground host.
Check in when you arrive
There is a $25 fee for failing to check in. It takes a minute and it saves confusion.
Long stays
A $50 late fee applies after 7 days. If you are planning a longer stay, arrange a weekly or monthly rate up front.
Important
Camping during Fair week
The campground sits on the fairgrounds, so Fair week works differently. Two things to know.
You may need to move
Campers may have to move to a different space, or vacate the grounds entirely, during the week before and the week of the Fair. We will tell you as far ahead as we can.
Campers need a Fair wristband
During the Fair, everyone camping on the grounds is required to purchase a Fair admission wristband. See tickets and admission.
Planning a stay in late June or July? Call the office first at (530) 628-5223 and we will tell you what is realistic.
How to get a site
You can do this online, on paper, or over the phone. All three end up in the same place.
- Send a request. Fill out the online request with your dates, your rig or tent, your vehicles, and anyone travelling with you. Request a campsite
- We confirm availability. The Fair Office checks the dates and gets back to you. A request is not a reservation until we confirm it.
- Pay. By mail, at the Fair Office, with the campground host, or by credit card over the phone.
- Check in when you arrive. Do not skip this. There is a $25 fee if you do.
