Tickets and admission

How getting into the Trinity County Fair works, and what to expect when tickets go on sale.

Tickets are not on sale at the moment

The 2026 Fair finished in July. Dates and admission prices for the next Fair have not been set, and nothing is on sale yet.

Prices are approved by the Fair Board at a public meeting and published here and on the events calendar once they are. Nothing you buy elsewhere in the meantime is an official Fair ticket.

[REPLACE: TICKET_STATUS - replace this whole block with current prices, presale dates, and a real purchase link when there is something to sell. Then add Offer objects to the structured data at the bottom of this page, and switch the header button across the site from "Rent the Fairgrounds" to "Get Tickets". Reverse all of it the day after the Fair closes.]

How admission usually works

Prices change each year, but the shape of it does not.

  • At the gate

Daily admission, bought when you arrive. The simplest option if you are coming for one day.

  • Presale passes

Bought before the Fair, usually at a lower price than the gate. An All Access Pass covering the whole Fair has been offered in recent years.

  • Categories

Passes have been offered in adult, youth, and veteran or senior categories.

  • Members pay less

Association members get a discount on Fair admission. Membership is $25 a year. Become a member

  • Free days

The Fair usually includes days with free admission for particular groups. In 2026 that included a free open house day, a free day for children 12 and under, a day where sponsors were admitted free, and a free culture day.

  • Carnival rides are separate

Ride tickets and wristbands are sold by the amusement company that runs the carnival, not by the Fair Association.

[REPLACE: PRESALE_DETAIL - where presale passes are sold, when presale opens and closes, whether the gate takes cards, and whether there are group rates. Also confirm the child age cutoff for the coming year rather than assuming it stays at 12 and under.]

Two things worth knowing

Camping does not include admission

If you are camping on the grounds during Fair week, you still need to buy a Fair admission wristband. Camping fees and Fair admission are separate. Campground information

Carnival rides are not included

Fair admission gets you through the gate. Rides are operated by an outside amusement company with their own tickets. If presale carnival ride tickets are offered, they are redeemed during the Fair for a ride wristband, and the number available is set by the carnival rather than by the Association.

Events run by others

A good deal of what happens at the fairgrounds is put on by other organisations renting the grounds. Those events set their own admission and sell their own tickets.

Check the events calendar for who is running an event, or call (530) 628-5223 if you are not sure.

Accessibility

If you have questions about access, seating, or getting around the grounds, please ask before you come. Accessibility information

How to know when tickets go on sale

Dates and prices are approved at a public board meeting, then published here, on the events calendar, and on social media. Board meetings are open to anyone, so that is the earliest you could hear it.
