Events Calendar

Public events at the Trinity County Fairgrounds in Hayfork, including the annual Fair, the Harvest Festival, and open board meetings. Everything listed here is open to the public.

Private bookings such as weddings, memorials, and parties are not listed on this calendar. If you would like to hold your own event here, the fairgrounds are available to rent year round.

    Agenda items include the future of the Fair and its finances, a recommendation on 2027 Fair dates, electing a new Vice President, and advertising the two vacant board seats. Public comment is heard during the open comment portion of the agenda, three minutes per person.

    The Harvest Festival hosts competitions in agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, and cannabis. The Agriculture, Horticulture, and Preserved Foods departments moved from the summer Fair to the Harvest Festival in 2026.

    The Association is accepting applications to fill the remainder of two four-year Fair Board terms. Applicants must be Association members. Memberships can be purchased at the Fair office or at the meeting on request. Submit a letter of interest before the meeting or bring it with you.

    Letters of interest for two open Fair Board seats

    • Submit before or at the September 17 regular meeting
    • Applicants must be Fair Association members
    • One term ends January 2027, the other ends January 2028

    Memberships can be purchased at the Fair office, or at the meeting on request.

  • By Oct 1 Thursday

    Pick the 2027 Fair theme

    • Entries due at the Fair Office by October 1, 2026
    • Winning entry receives a $50 cash award
    • Limit of three entries per person
    • Deliver to 6000 Hwy 3, or mail to P.O. Box 880, Hayfork, CA 96041

    Entries of eight words or fewer are preferred. A theme does not need to rhyme or contain the words "Trinity County Fair." The Fair Association Board selects the winner at the October 2026 board meeting, for the 106th Fair.

    2026 Trinity County Fair

    • Theme: "105 Years of Country Cheer"

    The 2026 Fair marked 105 years, 1921 to 2026. The week included the 68th annual Junior Livestock Auction, the Trinity Timbersports Logging Show, the Destruction Derby, the Fair Parade, Gymkhana and the Equine Obstacle Challenge, the Log Cabin Quilters Guild show, and the still exhibit halls.

2027 Fair information coming soon

Dates for the 2027 Trinity County Fair have not been announced yet. When the board approves them, they will be posted here and on the Fair page. In the meantime, the theme contest for the 106th Fair is open through October 1, 2026.
