Hayfork, since 1921
The Trinity County Fair
Five days every July of livestock, logging sports, exhibits, motorsports, horses, food, and the kind of contests that only make sense at a county fair. It has been happening in Hayfork since 1921.
Generations of families here have shown an animal, entered a quilt, ridden in the parade, or spent an evening in the grandstands. The Fair is put on by the Trinity County Fair Association, a nonprofit run by a volunteer board.

Planning to come
The fairgrounds are at 6000 Highway 3 in Hayfork, in the Hayfork Valley. Admission and presale information is published each year before the Fair, and there is camping on the grounds.

A little history
The Trinity County Fair was first held in 1921. In July 2026 it marked its 105th year, under the theme "105 Years of Country Cheer", chosen by a local resident through the annual theme contest.
It is a terminal fair, which means animals purchased at the Junior Livestock Auction are not taken home live.
Exhibitor of the Year
Every exhibitor who meets the requirements is automatically entered. The exhibitor with the highest accumulated points across departments takes the award, with junior and school categories alongside it.
There is more than the Fair
The Harvest Festival runs in September with competitions in agriculture, horticulture, floriculture and more, and the grounds host events all year. Harvest Festival
